As general manager, you will be expected to work evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule to meet the needs of the business.
Your job will be to manage the restaurant and crew for daily operations. This will include working all positions on the floor such as register, fryer, fill, and callout. You will also be expected to help with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, and hiring. You must be proficient at using a computer to create excel files, send emails, and work with different software.
Lawrence’s has been serving the best fried seafood in Chicago since 1950. We have many loyal guests who have been coming for decades to get their favorite large shrimp in a bag with our signature hot sauce to dip it in.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead your team by setting an example of excellent guest service
- Maintain a clean restaurant and inviting atmosphere
- Recruit, hire, train, recognize, and discipline employees
- Manage and control expenses such as direct labor, food cost variance, repairs & maintenance, and discounts
- Uphold company standards and policies
- Increase restaurant sales
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, payroll, inventory tracking, food ordering, and cash handling
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour
