POSITION OVERVIEW

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen by washing equipment and utensils. This position is also responsible for removing trash, cleaning floors, maintaining equipment and stocking supplies.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain supply of sanitized kitchen items by collecting dirty items, such as, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; washing items by hand; verifying cleanliness; returning items to inventory.
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
  • Keep dish room clean and organized.
  • Maintain safe and healthy back-of-the-house environment by following procedures and standards and sanitation codes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized station; including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, wiping counters, garbage, stocking and restocking product and wrapping and storing product properly.
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware to ensure adequate levels are available for dining room and kitchen.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as assigned.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Be proficient in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment
  • Work together as a team to achieve efficient operations.
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous restaurant experience required.
  • Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
  • Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
